CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS Scholarship Committee: The Scholarship Committee would likethe names of all high school graduates, college graduates and candidates for the Masters Degree by Sunday, June 1, 2003. Summer Enrichment Program : Applications are available forenrolling school age children in the Summer Enrichment Program. The Program begins on June 23, 2003. A limited number of applications are in the vestibule. Additional applications are available in the Day Care Office. “Ain’t Misbehavin” Sis. Dawn Miller is again asking for yoursupport in attending her current performance of “Ain’t MisBehavin” , the Fats Waller Musical, at the Skylight Opera Theatre, 158 N. Broadway. The play will run May 16th through June 8th, hurry tickets are selling fast. Youth Ministry: The Mt. Zion Youth Ministry is currently planning our annual youth retreat. The theme for the retreat is I.M.A.G.E.In My Arena God Exists. The one night retreat will be a time full of spiritual growth, communion with God, fun and fellowship. All young people ages 9 to 18 are reminded to obtain a permission slip from Rev. Bell or any of the other youth leaders. The slips are needed for planning purposes and all slips are to be turned in by Sunday, May 11th. The Retreat will be the evening of Fri. May 23rd and Sat. May 24th. We will return the evening of Saturday, May 24th. The Youth Ministry is also looking for volunteers to help at our retreat. If you are interested and willing to help, please see Sis. Zion Church family has made it possible for our young people to attend the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education in the form of Sponsorships. It is that time again. We asking for sponsors for the youth attending the 2003 National Baptist Congress of Christian Education.This year the Congress will be held in Detroit, Michigan, June 16-20. The sponsorship donations will be used to help cover the expenses of the trip. We are asking for donations in the amount of $50, $75, and $100.
